Highlights for 2019 include increasing HAEi member organizations from 69 to 84 countries, facilitating the first shipment of modern HAE medication through the HAEi Global Access Program, and registering as a tax exempt nonprofit organization in the United States.
Also, during the year we partnered with GA2LEN to establish the worldwide ACARE network of accredited Angioedema Centers of Reference and Excellence.
Throughout the year, we have focused on preparing for the 2020 HAE Global Conference in Frankfurt, Germany, we conducted regional meetings throughout the world, and we provided sponsorship grants that enabled 100 participants to attend an HAE Youngsters’ Advocacy Workshop in the United States. In 2019, the activities on and around the global HAE awareness day hae day :-) continued to grow.
