From Regional Patient Advocate Maria Ferron
During the last few months, my focus has been on the organizing of the 2020 HAEi Regional Workshop North Africa in Algeria, on 6-8 March. This meeting brought together patients, families, and physicians from Libya, Tunisia, Mauritania, Morocco, and Algeria for the first time. The agenda included a scientific track as well as a patient track to create further education and awareness of HAE in these countries.
I have been involved with meetings and follow up in Spain with pharmaceutical companies regarding access to HAE treatments.
I am assisting the organizations in Morocco, Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia with their national websites and will be helping some of these organizations with the rollout of HAEi Connect.
