The 2017 HAEi Youngster’s Summer Camp in Frankfurt, Germany was the first of its kind – and weren’t they just the wildest of days?!
75 participants represented more than 20 countries and turned this into the global event we’d hoped for.

Evaluation
A unique, necessary, deeply enriching experience for young people and their families.
It was one of my best experiences in my life, I enjoyed every moment!. If I had the chance to do it again, I would do it without thinking.
The first summer camp was a success! It was a unique experience that I will never forget. I hope I can share all the teachings that have been passed on to other young people and doctors.
Thanks HAEi for this amazing experience! I’ll never be the same after these awesome days!
HAEi family is everywhere around the world, we are not alone. Youngsters can be part of this community too and they are the most important of it because they are the future of our organization.
It was a wonderful event that really brought the kids together. The bonds they made in just a short time were amazing. I actually said to my son yesterday that being one of a few in a room without HAE made me feel abnormal and he agreed that he felt so comfortable among so many others he could relate to. Thank you for putting this together and inviting us.
Knowing people who really understand us is as important as having the right medication. It’s not that easy to explain to everyone around us what it is to live with this disease, and knowing that someone besides us really knows makes us feel really relaxed and comfortable. Hope to see everyone again really soon and that doctors continue showing the passion about investigating this disease as Inma and Markus showed to us. Thank you very much again for giving us the opportunity to know you and know each other.
Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this camp! I learned so much and formed great friendships from all over the world. Everyone felt like family as soon as we walked through the door and I’m so sad it’s over but can’t wait to meet up with my HAE family again!
