HAE International (HAEi) is excited to announce a new collaboration with GA2LEN— a nonprofit European based organization of leading clinical and research facilities in the field of allergy and asthma—to establish GA2LEN/HAEi ACARE (Angioedema Centers of Reference and Excellence).
The joint venture with GA2LEN fulfills HAEi’s longstanding goal of establishing a world-wide network of accredited angioedema care centers. GA2LEN’s experience and success in creating a global network of 93 accredited urticaria care centers can be readily duplicated in the angioedema space. GA2LEN and HAEi will work together on developing ACARE ensuring that it will become an attractive partner for HAE treating physicians all over the world.
From a patient’s perspective, GA2LEN/HAEi ACARE Centers will significantly expand skilled HAE care throughout the globe and fulfill HAEi’s two fundamental goals;
– Broaden access modern HAE medicines in countries where they are available,
– Make concerted and systematic efforts to bring modern medicines to countries where there are none.
