From Daniella Assa, HAE Mozambique
Attending the 2023 HAEi Regional Conference EMEA that was held this year in Munich, Germany, gave us support, encouragement, and the necessary tools to advocate for HAE in Mozambique.
We formed an HAE Mozambique patient support group.
We were also able to participate in the FNB Maputo 10k race ‘Corrida das Acacias’ that took place on Sunday, 5 November, with a record participation of more than 4,000 people. The competition is part of the City of Maputo month, celebrated annually on 10 November, with the aim of raising awareness of the health benefits of taking part in sporting activities to improve quality of life.
We successfully completed this competition swell-free due to better management of HAE.
